pile integrity testing
Pile Integrity Testing (PIT) is used to ascertain that the concrete pour was completed correctly and, that no defects exist in the pile that may impact on design and performance. Using state of the art instrumentation we can quickly identify the characteris- tics of the pile and provide a third party audited report.
Dynamic Pile Testing
Dynamic Pile Testing involves the use of dynamic impact; such as a drop hammer to impart a predetermined load on the pile. In the same way as a static test, the pile deflection or movement is monitored and assessed. The main advantage of this method over a static test is a considerable saving in set up and time.
STATIC LOAD TESTING
Static tests are performed on piles to ensure that the performance of the pile meets or exceeds the design loads. The use of reaction piles and hydraulic jacks, allows the applied load applied to gradually increase and be monitored for any movement in the pile.
PILE INSPECTIONS
Pile socket inspections are traditionally performed from the surface or by
dangerously sending personnel into an open hole to inspect the rock strata. To improve quality control and as a commitment to Zero Harm, we have developed a remotely controlled video camera system that provides the ability to photograph the socket or record a video. This eliminates the need to send personnel down into the hole and still gives the operator full vision of the rock socket in a 360° view.
